Objective. To describe the factors influencing entrepreneurial intention among university students in Mexico, as well as their attitudes towards entrepreneurship, perceptions of social norms, and entrepreneurial ability. Methodology. A questionnaire was used to gather data from a sample of 1141 students across three majors at the Faculty of Accounting and Administration of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. A descriptive, correlational, and multivariate analysis was performed considering the variables of attitude toward entrepreneurship, perception of social norms, and entrepreneurial ability. Results. The main findings reveal that career attractiveness, perceived control, entrepreneurial ability, close social evaluation, and subjective norm are the factors influencing entrepreneurial intention among university students in Mexico. Conclusions. It is essential to promote entrepreneurship and ensure that students acquire the entrepreneurial attitudes, knowledge, and skills necessary to feel confident and competent for successful entrepreneurship.
