Resumen

La innovación verde ayuda a las empresas a reducir su impacto ambiental al tiempo que aumentan su eficiencia, competitividad y rentabilidad. Este estudio examina el impacto de la innovación verde en el desempeño financiero de las empresas en Pakistán, utilizando datos de panel de 2015 a 2024. Con el creciente enfoque global en la sostenibilidad, comprender cómo las prácticas respetuosas con el medio ambiente influyen en los resultados económicos es crucial, principalmente en economías en desarrollo como la de Pakistán, donde el crecimiento industrial a menudo entra en conflicto con las preocupaciones ambientales. El estudio adopta un enfoque cuantitativo, utilizando modelos de regresión de efectos fijos para observar la relación entre la innovación verde y el desempeño financiero, al tiempo que analiza el papel mediador del cumplimiento normativo y el efecto moderador del tamaño de la empresa. Los resultados muestran una relación positiva estadísticamente significativa entre la innovación verde y el desempeño financiero, evaluado mediante el Retorno sobre Activos (ROA), el Retorno sobre el Patrimonio (ROE) y la Q de Tobin. Se observa que el cumplimiento normativo mejora esta relación, lo que sugiere que las presiones institucionales refuerzan los beneficios financieros de las prácticas sostenibles.
