Abstract
Due to global needs and new societal dynamics, Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) indices have gone from being optional tools to essential standards of corporate governance. Although some business leaders perceive them as isolated actions in their business development, more and more organizations understand that this is not a trend but a philosophy that must permeate the entire organizational strategy. These indices strengthen corporate reputation, allow for early risk management, optimize financial actions, and at the same time positively impact social aspects such as labor practices, board diversity, corporate transparency, and business ethics.
